Awful

We stayed here for one night because it was close to the airport. On our way to Diamond hotel our taxi driver got really lost and what should have been a 5 min drive (according to maps) turned into a 20 min drive. The staff were very smiley and welcoming, although they didn't speak any English at all. Room was huge but very smelly and the air conditioning was broken. We also discovered LOADS of ants in our room and when they brought us breakfast in the morning the tray was covered in ants too. There was no shower, only a bathtub - and after having a bath I discovered the water had somehow leaked out and all over the floor.
We couldn't wait to get on our flight and leave this place. I don't recommend you stay here at all.

near the airport, way too expensive, dirty, no comfort

I stayed here just overnight to catch a flight in the early morning!
So main criteria was the distance to the airport. Which is unfortunately the only good thing about this place.
Airport is just 3 k's, around 10 minute taxi drive away.
Other then that, the place isn't actually woth any cent of the 21 US $ I paid for the night.
Bed:
Linen and sheets were definately NOT clean, you could smell it quiet bad.
As for Vietnam normal, the mattress aren't thick or fluffy. But for 21 $ I expected a better one then in the 5$ hostels.
Cleanliness:
The room and bathroom were actually dirty!
Spider webs in the corner, dust on surfaces, hairs in the bathtube.
Also I found some full and empty condoms and other waste in the drawers.
Service/Staff:
The staff was actually very nice, even tho there is just one person who really talks english. (But that was not any problem).
They helped me out and were really attendive.
If you guys would put more effort in housekeeping you would have actually a nice place to stay.
For those who know prices in Vietnam, know that 21 US $ for one night is like staying in London at Grand Hyatt *lol*.
The fact that nothing was actually clean and not comfy, is very disappointing.
I wouldn't say they rip you off, but I just don't had the feeling that they did any cleaning a long time.
I can't recommend this place!!!
Please stay away.

Sorry guys, you have to improve A LOT to charge prices like this!!!
