Paradise all-inclusive vacation.
We rested with family for 2 weeks. Large, well-maintained hotel grounds. There is a lifeguard on every hill, safe for children. Every pool has a lifeguard. The sea closes at 6:00 PM.
Caring staff. Any question is solved very quickly. Buggy drive around the territory. The food is diverse and delicious.
My family and I are very pleased. We will come again.
PS: In the second building /condotel/, there are washing machines, which is very convenient!

I'm not coming back to movenpick.
Beautiful resort with good food but little room control and too many pay-per-view restrictions
We spent four nights at the Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh with our wife and child. The resort makes a strong first impression: a large area, a good beach, many sunbeds by the sea, swimming pools and a variety of food. In the main restaurant we liked both the buffet and à la carte dishes, especially the seafood selection.
The room was full of pillows, extra pillows and blankets were promptly brought in free of charge. A welcome minibar with soft drinks is available once per stay. They brought a nice razor kit on request. After our appeals, the management delivered coconuts, fruit and sweets, and on the day of departure offered free family lunch. We appreciated the attempt to correct the impression.
But for the five-star resort, the number of problems was excessive.
There were no teaspoons in the room, although there was cocoa. A spoon worth VND 5,000 ordered via the app turned out to be a dining room. The floor scales had a physically broken support with a sensor. After several appeals, they were taken away, but the serviceable scales never arrived and the reasons were not explained.
The bedside lamp also failed, the cold water pressure was much weaker than the hot water, the capsule coffee machine drained almost all the water into the tray, and the sink drain could be closed by pressing, but it was impossible to open properly because of the missing part. Most of the problems after the complaint were fixed, the coffee machine was replaced, but the drain was only opened - if pressed again it can get stuck again.
The balcony light was on all night and didn't respond to the switch. We were told it would automatically go out at 11:00 p.m., but at 11:27 p.m. and later, the lights continued to go on. He switched off in the morning and the switch went back on in the afternoon. So, in the evening, the switch is functionally useless, which contradicts both the words of the manager and the instructions to turn off the lights so as not to attract insects.
The room has a door to the next room, but it doesn't have an explanatory sign. Neighbors regularly tried to open it. You can hear conversations and household sounds through the door. Under and above the front door there are visible blown slots: a corridor can be heard, and cooled air flows out.
The curtain between the bathroom and the bedroom shines through, and from the side through the mirror you can see a person in the bathroom or toilet. For a family number, this does not provide normal privacy.
Cleaning affects mainly visible surfaces. After the service, the table remained dirty and there was a lot of dust and debris under the balcony couch mattress. The bed linen was not replaced; it was later found that a special card was required to replace it. This should have been clearly communicated to guests in advance.
A staff member who came to collect the scales opened the door almost immediately after knocking, without waiting for an answer. He caught me in one of my underwear and still walked into the room and into the bathroom. For a hotel at this level, it's unacceptable.
The main lobby is very small. Availability is difficult to find between 12:00 and 15:00. There is no regular cold filtered water available at the reception. In comparison, water, lemon tea and other soft drinks were constantly available at nearby Radisson Blu.
The hotel has a separate priority lobby with coffee and drinks, which we found out by chance. We were asked to leave without even specifying the status of ALL or explaining the terms of access.
Smoke and the smell of burnt garbage were felt daily throughout the residence. Walking and going out to the balcony became anguish: to the heat was added the feeling of an incinerator nearby. We don't know the source of the smell, but it had a very noticeable effect on the quality of the rest.
Poolside facilities include paid and free sunbeds. Most of the free seats in the shadows are occupied for a long time by towels and personal effects. The rule of releasing a sunbed after 30 minutes of absence does not actually help if personal effects are left on it. There are no umbrellas, although attachments are available and some canvases are only stretched at the corners. When we tried to move the sunbed a little after the shadow, the lifeguard told us it was not possible to move it.
Much of even basic activity requires separate payment or processing. When we tried to just play football with the kid, a staff member came up and said "sorry" and gestured that it was forbidden. Even giant chess was paid for. For a family resort at this level, it looks strange and petty.
Tennis is free until 6:00 p.m., which is mostly during the hottest hours. In the evening, when playing safer and more comfortable, payment is required. The rope park is located in the open sun without sufficient canopies and tall trees and is accessible only from the age of 14. There is no separate track for young children. The main playground is mainly designed for toddlers, and the choice of activities for children between 7 and 13 years of age is limited. The scalodrome in the air-conditioned room also pays, slot machines are old and primitive.
Free bicycles need to be checked carefully: there are undrawn handlebars, weak brakes, deformed wheels and instances that have long needed repair. There are constant buggy rides in the grounds, so pedestrians and cyclists have to look around regularly and give way to them.
On the water slide, you must separately record the name, room number and sign each rescuer. To ride three slides, you have to fill in the data three times with wet hands. On some coasters it is forbidden to take shales with you, but the surface on the rise is very hot. You either have to walk barefoot on a hot path or on a burnt lawn and then wash your feet before you go down.
After 7:30 a.m., there is often a line of guests waiting outside Panorama Restaurant for a free table. On the second floor, two coffee machines regularly require cleaning a container of cake or replenishing water and milk, so you have to look for an employee and wait. At the same time, the restaurant catering itself is generally good.
The composition of the boarding house is poorly explained. The Dinner Buffet billboard says the buffet includes a glass of wine or beer and unlimited soft drinks. It later turned out that this only works for direct purchase of the buffet, not for half-board guests. The exception is not indicated on the plate, and staff were initially unable to provide a clear answer. Before that, we lived at Radisson Blu, where alcoholic beverages and cocktails were part of the accommodation package, so the wording naturally raised questions. Such conditions need to be explained when settling in.
The smoking area is located right at the exit of the building towards the beach. In the evening it is almost impossible to walk there without inhaling tobacco smoke.
In general, Mövenpick Cam Ranh looks good in the photos and has strengths: beach, pools, food, seafood and beautiful grounds. But the number was clearly not checked before check-in, unresolved applications are poorly transmitted between shifts, and a host of rules, exceptions, and extra payments become clear only after disputes.
The resort can be suitable for families with small children, ready for large numbers of guests, additional costs and self-monitoring of all conditions. But the quality of operation, privacy, maintenance and organization of the service in our case did not meet the expectations of a five-star brand.

Amazing rest! We had a huge two-bedroom room where everything is thought out for a comfortable stay.
Food (breakfast-dinner) is beyond praise, for all tastes! Sea, beach, sand! That's great!
