Game Driver Willie is the BEST!!!

We booked full board four nights and had 6 private games drives for two riverfront tents
Pros:
1. Willie the game driver was absolutely the highlight of this trip. He is extremely knowledgeable and we saw lions with cubs, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, several birds, etc!!!!
2. The food was excellent with great variety. You can speak with the staff to let them know your preferences. Liked the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, the meat lovers pizza, macaroni with meat and vegetables and the full breakfast. We didn’t enjoy the fish curry due to it being very spicy and fishy tasting.
The snacks on the game drives were terrific.
3. There is an expansive area to sit outside and view the Luangwa River and wildlife. We saw elephants crossing, crocodiles, and other wildlife. The monkeys can be annoying and are all over the camp. The elephants often visit the camp. The views are amazing and there is a nice fire pit at night. The best camp for outdoor viewing.
4. Staff was overall very good and attentive. They have ample staff who are well trained.
Cons:
1. The standard/legal shot size in Zambia is 35 ml. We have stayed in several other lodges in the area and shots were in excess of 35 ml with similar pricing. On one game drive, I received a shot of far less than 25 ml.
2. Sometimes difficult to find guards in the morning despite letting them know our timing. One guard was excellent, however.
Overall, would recommend this lodge.

UNFORGETTABLE

This was one one of the most unforgettable experiences that I ever had. From the moment we entered the camp I felt like a special guest. Traditional dancing and singing. Assistance from the staff was of the highest standards. Accommodation was everything you can possibly need. So wonderful to experience the animals around the tents, You can definitely not walk around at night, but for that they also cater fortwo guards on stanby troughout the night. The food was delicious. Mornings at the lapa with freshly brewed coffee looking out over the river was amazing. Organized game drives and walks in the Lolongwe park was an never to forget experience. Service and assistance was so good at Croc Valley, when I had to leave I felt like leaving my family behind. I WILL DEFINITELY COME AGAIN AND AGAIN.

EXCEPTIONAL STAY @ Croc Valley Camp

We had an absolute FABULOUS stay at Croc Valley Camp! Coming from South Africa we thought we thought knew how wild Africa is, but this place completely changed our perspective.
We were welcomed with such warmth and kindness and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The campsite and tented camps are beautiful – peaceful, well looked after and perfectly positioned to enjoy the incredible surroundings. Waking up to the sounds of nature every morning and seeing the wildlife through the tents window was as if we were watching a National Geographic documentary!
Thank you to everyone at Croc Valley Camp for making our stay so memorable. We made wonderful memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful experience. We will definitely be back! SEE YOU SOON!

We loved our stay at Croc Valley. The price was very economical. The food was great and the staff were friendly. The river tent was just refurbished, very clean and comfortable! The view is breathtaking and definitely the best in Mfuwe!

Great value, with magnificent views of The Luangwa River!

I have stayed at Croc Valley on many occasions and I love it! Perfect location, close to the South Luangwa National Park. Clean comfortable accommodation, some with magnificent views of The Luangwa River. The bar area has a great atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is perfect for lazy days, relaxing. The best value for money in Mfuwe.
