Rooms with a WOW effect
We happened to stay here years ago and were overwhelmed by the renovation this time! Top-modern rooms with first-class bathrooms. Creative details (matching the brewery) surprise. Finding a sink like this is quite a challenge! Very clean, fine mattresses. Blackout shades and ample shelf space are additionally convincing. Perhaps a bit noisy.
The breakfast is appropriate for the category; basically, everything is available. Homemade jams taste excellent. Eggs from free-range chickens are available in various options. The freshness of the products is consistently noticeable. The owner was exceptionally flexible and friendly to the children!
There are plenty of parking spaces, and it takes 20 minutes to walk to the center.

Mostly great, a few oddities
The recently upgraded and beer themed rooms are excellent, with many unusual features such as automatic rolling shutters that limit road noise for light sleepers. The restaurant downstairs is excellent, and the staff was uniformly friendly. The only negatives - despite reserving many months in advance, my room was not available the first night, and I was put in a non-upgraded room without it's own bathroom for the first night (at reduced fee). Second, on the morning I was checking out, the cleaning staff entered my room four separate times before I checked out; once while I was still sleeping, once while I was getting dressed after my shower, once while I was downstairs eating breakfast (towels removed and trash emptied), and once while I was using the bathroom before finally checking out. It actually became humorous and didn't really bother me, but I'm not sure everyone would react the same way.

Barely good, but good enough
It's a bit of a funky location and place, but everything worked. I arrived to check-in in a smokey bar, but found my room directly above the bar to be spacious and well-laid out. Furniture used but comfortable, only the bathroom, clearly a modular piece inserted into an old corner office was a little cheap. The hotel is right on the road but I had absolutely no problem with road noise.
The attached restaurant was pretty good, too!
Inexpensive, good enough, an easy place to flop. not convenient to town, but if you're looking for a bed and a meal, it's a good choice!

Übernachten in einer Bierbrauerei?
Die Empfehlung kam von einem befreundeten Lienzer. Der Braugasthof Falkenstein - übrigens daher stammt das „gute“ GÖSSER Bier - hat fünf Zimmer und bietet Unterbringung und Verpflegung. 2015 renoviert, sind die Zimmer großzügig und zum Wohlfühlen. „Boutique“ trifft wirklich zu, denn vielerorts im Haus tragen kreative Elemente der Braugeschichte zum besonderen Charakter bei. Für eine Übernachtung mit Halbpension ist dieser Ort etwas außerhalb des Zentrums eine gute Wahl.

Tre giorni in moto per andare al Grossglockner
Ho prenotato una camera per due notti ( su suggerimento di un conoscente del sito Viaggi in moto). Camera spaziosa e molto accogliente. Da vedere il bagno, con musica che si accende all'entrata, ma il lavello è spettacolare pare una spina della birra con sotto il suo fusto in metallo. Ho cenato qui due sere e mi sono trovato bene, birra buonissima (al piano sotto le camere c'è una birreria. Colazione abbondante. Personale gentilissimo e simpatico!!!!
