Nice hotel in the middle of the mountains

The Hotel Mittagskogel is a very nice hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the mountains. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast offers a good selection and the dinner is also very delicious. Of particular note is the friendly and attentive service, which makes the stay very pleasant.

Very small Wiener Schnitzel for full price!

I was there as a day guest in the afternoon and ordered a beer and schnitzel with fries. I came up with chips with schnitzel, the schnitzel thin as newsprint and also very little. I was really disappointed, would have really expected something different from a house like this.

90s top maintained

Hotel is from the 90s, all very well maintained. Sauna area is new. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Food is also good, although unfortunately some dishes are out quickly (45 minutes after the start) and then there is no supply at the buffet. Therefore, it is better to show up for dinner earlier.
Ski cellar does not offer its own lockers, but camera surveillance seems to be available.
Room was okay, unfortunately the ceilings were so slanted that you could only stand straight in one half of the room.
The proximity to the ski lift is very good!

Service and equipment for four stars not consistent

It bothered me a lot that I only found out last morning that you can also get fried eggs or omelettes through the kitchen. I think this should be communicated openly and not found out about the next table. What I also missed was at least a few grains for the cereal at breakfast.
In the room was a large stain on the carpet in the entrance area. This is not crucial for cleanliness but looks very terrible and is certainly not very conducive to well-being. For 180 € my room was very old for my taste and out of step with the times. Price/performance not right (expensive).
I also communicated the criticism to the hotel by email. An answer came in the mail that was by no means authentic and seems very AI-generated.
Overall, it was very disappointing for me.

Unforgettable summer holidays in the Pitztal and Mittagskogel

We have enjoyed the great location of this hotel, its excellent and varied cuisine, the always approachable and super friendly staff / hoteliers, who always look after the well-being of their guests. Both the rooms and the spa are spacious and absolutely clean. The guest rooms are attractive and furnished with pleasant spacing. We are looking forward to seeing you again at Mittagskogel!:o)
