If Carlsberg made hotel suites, they might accidentally create something very close to this.
We stayed in Suite 601 at the Radisson Blu Rouen and, from the moment we walked in, it felt more "boutique luxury apartment" than hotel room. Huge, spotless, modern, beautifully designed and complete with a fantastic private balcony overlooking part of the city. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching Rouen wake up was worth the trip alone.
The bathroom deserves its own postcode. Twin sinks, enormous walk-in shower, plenty of space and everything finished to a very high standard. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was quiet, and every part of the suite felt well thought out.
Now, every great review needs one tiny comedy moment...
At exactly 3pm, fresh from check-in, we stepped out of the lift expecting the red carpet... only to be greeted by two abandoned coffee mugs, a glass and a couple of saucers sitting proudly on the windowsill like they were checking into the penthouse themselves. They'd clearly been there long enough to establish residency. It wasn't exactly a disaster, but it was an amusing first impression and made us wonder if housekeeping had started a "guess how long these stay here" competition.
Thankfully, that was the only blemish on an otherwise superb stay.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is modern throughout, everything was immaculately clean inside the suite, and the location is excellent for exploring the beautiful city of Rouen.
Would we stay again? Absolutely.
Just one small request to housekeeping... next time, let the coffee cups check out before your guests do! ☕

Smart hotel in excellent location
We have stayed here three times now on the way down through France . Very smart hotel with parking and EV charging on site. Not tried the restaurant yet (closed on Sundays!) but very close to the city centre so plenty of options. Will be black no doubt.

Nice modern hotel, including on-site garage parking and a spa with treatment rooms. Helpful, friendly staff. Room (junior suite) was spacious & comfortable. Late lunch (club sandwich + fries) in the bar was good. Rouen has a lot of interest, which reception we’re happy to explain / offer guidance for visits, but as we were only over-nightingale we didn’t need any advice.

A very good modern hotel in a top location. Very close to the station and walking distance to all attractions in the centre.
On minor hickup: they say they have a minibar, but it's nor working. The explanation was, it's not a refrigerator, it's a minibar, and therefore xyou have to put an icepack to cool it into it. That was weird. But okay then. The breakfast was super. A whole different gluten free section!

Amazing Radisson property
I don't leave reviews very often, but my recent stay at the Radisson in Rouen was so exceptional that I felt it deserved one. It's already the most popular hotel in Rouen, but it certainly deserves another mention. The location is perfect, just a five minute walk from the busy streets, yet peaceful, and right next to a historic tower (where you know who was tortured) Parking was straightforward. Some people have mentioned that the entrance to the car park is narrow, but it was much easier than I expected. I've seen far worse elsewhere in France! It's just one of those French parking garages. We had a fairly large British car and had no trouble getting in. Unless you're driving a Range Lover, you should be absolutely fine.The reception staff were friendly, welcoming. They were very responsive and happy to help throughout our stay. The hotel itself is modern, spotless, and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh, well-prepared food. A lovely touch was the jars of sweets and jelly candies at both the reception desk and the bar, which our 4 year old daughter absolutely loved. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rouen. One thing, Rouen is a French town, not German, Please wear your swimming suit when you enjoy spa facility.
