Insanely authentic, safe and beautiful place
The place itself is really an oasis, with lots of fresh air and insanely beautiful nature around. Captain Daniel will be the best guide ever to take you on trips through the mangroves and the island in the creek that hosts some old and unstudied Arab ruins and a gigantic old Baobab. The Nature Camp is really something special and so much more authentic than going to just another beach resort. However, if you want to spend your time at the beach as well, it's just a 25 minute boda-ride away and Hamisi will set you up with trustworthy locals to show you around and keep you safe. So no better entry into the local life, nature, and people than through mida creek nature camp. ;)
+ Never lived in a real (and high!) treehouse before, rarely saw such a beautiful night sky, and never had an entire boardwalk house to myself to pitch my hammock in and look over the creek. What a beautiful time I had there, truly.

Amazing local experience
Harrison, Phil, John and Dani are the best, very happy people, they enjoy life and do everything possible so that you can enjoy it with them. Thank you very much for all your love and hospitality.
We took the cooking class to celebrate my birthday and it was quite an experience! Getting to know and learn about their cuisine and the process behind it was very special, along with doing it the traditional way. I still remember the taste of that grilled fish! highly recommended.
And as a surprise, Harrison bought me a cake and we celebrated in true local style, with singing, dancing and palm wine. It will undoubtedly be a birthday that I will remember for a long time. time.
The accommodations are simple, but have everything you need to enjoy. Being a very natural place and close to the mangroves, you should expect quite a few insects. On our visit we didn't see many mosquitoes, but you see everything. Lots of birds also hanging around there. The campsite is 800 meters from the road and about 500 meters from the mangroves. You can have breakfast and lunch at Harrison's restaurant on the sea.
There are many activities that can be done in the area and Harrison, like the entire team, are always willing to help.
If you want a unique and different experience on the Kenyan coast, Mida Creek Nature Camp is undoubtedly the option!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE
I came here by myself to spend only one night and had no idea what to expect. Frankly I imagined that I would be bored since there would probably not be more travellers because of covid. Wow I was wrong!
This was probably my FAVOURITE experience out of two whole months in Kenya! The family that welcomed me here was so wonderful and they kept me company and entertained the whole time I stayed there. Btw I extended my stay to two nights because I simply didnt want to leave this magical place after just one night.
The tree houses are so cool and you are so in touch with nature. Recommend this for everybody who are in for real adventures!
